Lake Test Debrief (Sept 12th)

• Gimbal Tested
• Drone Perception → Data collected
• No USV autonomy tested
• No USV Data collection
• Reasons
  • The new radio tends to amplify network latency during high traffic which resulted in USV almost impossible to control → possible misconfiguration
  • Couple hours spent debugging which maintained this issue
  • USV motors not running during the end of lake test prevented any data collection → potential heating issue or Pi not working
• Need stricter test policy
  • Dry tests are mandatory and must cover all aspects of test as close as possible to how they will be performed during Lake test.
  • Limit debug time → 20 minutes max
    • After that, the test procedure will be either skipped entirely or pushed to end

• Competition vehicles will be Orangeboat (USV) and Drone (UAV)
