Design Requirements

• Portable (either folds flat or you can take it apart)
• Supports weight of boat
• Holds keel of boat above the ground

Constraints

• Has to fit in a car/truck bed along with the rest of the boat

Considerations

• Needs to support the boat at the front and back and preferably along the sides of the hull as well
• PVC tubes are an option, as is a wooden frame that can fold, or aluminum extrusion
• WILL ONLY WORK if the center of gravity is in or below the hull.

Hinge Connector Options: Bolt/Nut → Use tubing!

Hinge → Don’t do this, not enough resistance against collapse.

• Laser Cut Support
  • Take the hull CAD, cut it down the middle, have the outline of that be the guide for the cut.
  • Support attaches to the inside of the large frame. Fix w/ two nuts/bolts each side.
