Trainee Integration
- Wire harnessing
- Requirements:
- Dimensioned wire harness diagram or CAD
- Involves CAD, cable management, and spatial planning
- Jetson mount
- Involves CAD and design for a lightweight, optimized case with openings for cables and fan
- Torpedo Backplate
- Involves CAD and design for a resin-printed plate connecting to the back of an autonomous torpedo. The backplate must be watertight and have a way to pass wires through it to the outside of the torpedo. This backplate will be pushed into the torpedo’s tube. It involves O-rings, waterproofing, and DFM for resin printing.
- Torpedo Launcher
- Involves CAD design and 3D FDM manufacturing of a system to release autonomous torpedoes. This includes creating a motor interface likely for a servo.
- Dropper
- Involves CAD design and manufacturing of a motorized dropper system. The dropper should release a downward-facing door using a servo to allow a weighted metal ball to drop to the bottom of the pool.
- Machine new drawer (all navy PETG, fresh drawer sides)
- Add mechanical marker to ensure drawer is closed
- This involves 3D FDM manufacturing, acrylic machining, and a small amount of CAD design for the marker.
- Mount for Relay - jarvis
- Involves CAD design and wire management.
Soldering Tasks:
- Soldering ESCs to MT30s
- Also soldering the other connections on the backplate organizer
- Soldering and crimping thruster power harness
I would highly recommend you learn to solder, even if you are not an EE!
