• Leading theory: Buck/boost converters do not have soft start – initial voltage spike slowly degraded and eventually killed the Jetson
• Carrier board and Jetson are both dead
• Failure mode: over voltage, overcurrent
• Prevention:
• Ensure voltage at/after buck converters
• Output fewer volts (go from 19 to 15 V, which will slightly decrease performance but prevent future over-voltage)
• Buck converter worked with nook but was not designed for Jetson
